When Nick and I are talking about some of our favorite memories we have of our time together, we both continue to think back on this trip we took through the Michigan UP! We love getting to travel together and find new spots wherever we go, and we even have made a habit of visiting zoos wherever we travel (bonus points if it is a zoo we have never heard of before!) But as much as I love these photos we have to look back on, I wish I had something better than so many of the selfies we have tried to take throughout our many trips together.

We both are so close to our parents and siblings. In fact, our family ties were some of the first things we really connected over. We quickly realized that both of us had made some pretty drastic moves throughout our childhoods and now we both are used to our families being more widespread as adults. This has really translated into both of us valuing the times that we do get to spend with family when we have that chance!!

Quite a few of our dates early on in our relationship were spent at the drive in movie theater in Oregon, OH (the same town where our wedding reception was held!) We love planning a dinner and a movie night at home, but we love a night out with movie theatre popcorn and a new release with our Regal membership just as much!

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
I first started seriously looking at photography as a passion of mine just after I graduated from high school and I became so intrigued by the idea of true, one-of-a-kind senior photos. I was so interested in capturing images that felt authentic to the individual high school senior, rather than the generic, studio backdrop with a half-assed smile I'd become so used to seeing.
Not long after that, I began my minor in Photography and quickly learned there was so much to the art of in-camera process that felt exciting and rewarding to dive into. So, I starting researching and watching all the free photography education that I could get my hands on! I begged friends to pose for me and let me style them, and soon I found three more things I really loved: a unique styled experience captured on camera, finding shots with couples where the love just radiates through the screen, and helping families truly enjoy the process of taking photos so that it's just about them having fun together, rather than one pose after another.
And thus began the journey to becoming ALP!
i have family members spread out throughout northern california area as well as close family friends in southern california.
this is where nick and i are living right now!
my parents are still living back in the northwest ohio area! And we still have lots of friends and family throughout ohio and michigan!
Nick's parents all live in florida so we'd love an excuse to visit!
